Welcome to the 2009 Summer Reading Program!
This year our theme is creativity and using various art forms to express yourself. So to give people a place to show off their talents, this blog will be posting up your creations. Now of course the creations will need to meet the "Appropriate for all ages guidlelines". So you can send anything you think will meet those to amy (dot) winter (at) mentorpl (dot) org. (You know how to really write that. I don't want the spam bots to get me.)
More about the Summer Reading Program:
This summer's programs include Pollock painting, altered books, clay mask crafting, and more. Of course, we'll still have our reading contest with weekly prizes. Teens ages 13 to 18 can sign up at the Main Library or at either branch! When you sign up you'll receive your first Express Yourself Log and your choice of fun pen. You'll also receive a “buy one get one coupon” for Cavalier Tickets. (See coupon for Details). Follow this link for complete Teen Summer Reading Contest rules.
